Many of our classes are organized into sessions, making it easier for you to fit a series of classes into your schedule for a specified time. Our sign-up classes generally last for four, eight or twelve weeks. Check the Class Schedule for days and times. You can even sign up right online! Feel free to contact us with any questions — we'd love to talk with you!

Have you heard all the good things yoga can do for you, but just don't know where to start? Have you ever wanted to try a yoga class, but didn't want to stand out? Now's your chance to learn the basics side by side with other beginners!

In this easy, four-week program you'll learn: Basic yoga postures so you can follow along in any of the open classes at the Yoga Garden: Breathing techniques to calm the mind and soothe the senses: Variations on the basic yoga postures so you can adapt the practice to your own needs. You'll come out of the classes feeling relaxed and ready to make yoga a part of your healthy lifestyle! And when you're done, we'll work with you one-on-one to select teachers and classes at the Yoga Garden who are a good match for your needs and abilities.

Have you ever wondered why Pilates is such a great workout? How does it build core strength so quickly? Find out in this series of classes designed just for beginners!

In this easy, four-week program taught by the fitness professionals from Bodylogic Pilates, youΉll learn basic techniques so your Pilates practice will be safe and effective for years to come. You'll develop deep core strength for a healthy spine and improved posture. You'll begin to build a powerful, well-defined body.

And since everyone in the class is a beginner, youΉll be able to learn at your own pace. At the end of the session, youΉll have a better understanding of your body and how to strengthen it, and youΉll be prepared to attend any of the on-going Pilates mat classes at the Yoga Garden.

A kettlebell is a hand-held weight used to get a whole body workout in a short time. Benefits include strength, toning, flexiblity, mobility, and endurance.

summer camp for yoga and kung fu: all ages • Terryanne Haggins

Children will explore the world through the looking glass of kung fu, yoga and  Indian dance. As they learn these physical art forms from China and India, they'll also learn about the culture, language and philosophy. We'll look at Chinese and Indian art as a basis to create our own art projects . Part of each day will be devoted to learning about healthy living and nutrition. Students will also take a field trip to explore Eastern cultures. At the close of the camp, the kids will present a movement performance for friends and family. (back to top)

mom & baby yoga • Marla Sussman

Bond with your baby as you get back into shape! Share peaceful time with your little bundle of joy through this yoga practice meant to energize and calm you while stimulating your baby. Stretch and tone while creating harmony between the two of you. Gentle flowing movement will help relieve tight shoulders and rejuvenate weary minds. Your baby will participate throughout the class (as age allows) as you include her or him in breathing exercises and asana (posture) practice. For babies who are not yet crawling. This form of self-care is central to Chinese Medicine and healing. Qi Gong teaches you to integrate physical movement, breathing and mindfulness. The gentle, rhythmic practice of Qi Gong will help reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and improve your immune system. Qi Gong enhances cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive health. This class includes both seated and standing forms, as well as Qi self-massage and non-moving Qi Gong meditations. (back to top)

tai chi level 1 • Craig Bundick

A series of exactly prescribed movements that flow into one another in slow motion to increase balance, flexibility and proper alignment of the body. Enhance cardiovascular health, mental awareness, digestion, circulation and the function of internal organs.
